THE ROOT FAMILY REVIEW – A BUSY MOM BLOG
About the Author
I’ve always wanted to put my writing skills to use for something more than technical writing. There isn’t much opportunity for personality to shine through when writing laboratory tests plans and standard operating procedures.
No matter how many fifty cent words like “compliance, justification, support and verification” are sprinkled into the text, it’s never going to be entertaining!
That was my previous writing background, but now I’m throwing out the proper use of punctuation and can even use three exclamation points in a row if I feel like it!!! Hopefully I’ll be able to bring a smile or two to some faces along the way.
So here is my REAL background… I’m a (40-ish year old) wife and mother of two wonderful tween/teenage daughters. They are the joy of my life. Most of what you will find on this blog are my favorite recipes and reviews of products that save us time and think you should know about.
About the Co-Authors
What would a family review site be without the rest of my family?
My older daughter is currently 15 years old and could probably do this blog thing better than me. She’s sweet and sassy, speaks intelligently, but talks back. She’s what you would call our drama queen, but I wouldn’t want her any other way. I think that the minute she learned to communicate, she was already opinionated about girly things… clothes, toys, and later on, makeup, hair and beauty products. She’s also a great soccer player!
My younger daughter is 12 and is very easy-going. She’s not really opinionated about clothes and her only requirement for them is that they have to be comfortable. She loves reading books and getting new books is one of her favorite things to do. One day she told me that she can’t wait to learn how to drive because then she can go to the library any time she wants to 🙂 She’s also a great soccer player!
What can I say, I have a great husband! He’s a wonderful man and father and is very supportive of me working on my blog. He’s always there to help me choose which picture looks best even though the five I show him look almost exactly the same. I appreciate his patience!
The Blog-Dog named Summer
Our littlest co-author should receive accolades for her importance to the blog. She keeps me company as I sit and type, and is constantly on my lap. She’s also always around for photo shoots in the hope that I’ll let her help with clean up!
