Ingredients

  • 15 frozen dinner rolls Rhodes brand or similar
  • 5 Tablespoons salted butter
  • 4 Tablespoons sliced green onion

Instructions

  • melt butter in microwave and pour it into the bottom of 9 x 13 inch baking tray
  • slice green onion and distribute evenly on bottom of tray
  • place frozen dinner rolls on top of butter/onion
  • follow instructions on dinner roll package for rising and baking
  • In a hurry? Try the quick rise method! Preheat oven to 200F, boil 2 quarts of water in an oven safe dish and place it on lower rack, place rolls on upper rack, then be sure to turn the oven off. Let dough rise about 1 hour, until at least double in size. Remove pan of water and rolls from oven. Preheat oven, this time to 350F. Bake rolls 20 to 22 minutes, or until golden brown. Enjoy!

Notes

Perfect dinner rolls to serve for Thanksgiving. Use them the next day to make turkey sandwiches. I like to cut them in half, turn the cut side to be the top and bottom so that the butter and onion are on the inside of the sandwich.
